We look forward to receiving your application and discussing specific compensation parameters as part of our hiring process.POSITION SUMMARY:MasTec Purnell Canada is currently accepting resumes for an Industrial Coating Foreman to join its Coatings team to support turnaround projects in Northern Alberta and British Columbia for duration between two (2) to six (6) months.The main responsibility of this Industrial Coating Foreman position is to manage the day-to-day operations for field and coatings operations. This position would report to the General Manager Coatings and play a key role in the development and maintenance of the Industrial Coatings group.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Responsible for safety, development, completion of work, and quality of work from the crew.Leading crews to complete specific projects and assigning tasks as required.Provides oversight of painting and sandblasting.Coordinates and oversees activities of workers engaged in abrasive blasting and application of industrial coatings.Studies client specifications, industrial coating standards, and internal quality control documentation.Responsible for the performance of skilled abrasive blasting and coatings tasks.Determines sequence of activities concerned with coatings division.Effective communication with project managers and supervisors.Maintain safety records/certifications as required.Adherence to OHS / customer and industry standards and quality.Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned as required.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Have a strong understanding of the industry with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial painting and coatings.Previous facility and turnaround experience is required.Minimum Nace CIP Level 2 required.Experience managing crews.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Purnell Canadas 6 Core Values.Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade pertaining to the application and storage of various materials.Skill in the use of tools of the industrial coatings trade and ability to operate same.Skill in the abrasive blasting techniques to achieve proper surface preparation.Knowledge of paint application equipment repair and maintenance.Ability to communicate and report effectively
