Senior Supply Management Specialist Drilling & Completions Position SummaryWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Supply Management Specialist with 1520 years of experience supporting Drilling & Completions (D&C) operations within the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep commercial expertise, strong contract negotiation capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset. This role will lead highimpact sourcing initiatives, manage complex supplier relationships, and provide commercial guidance to D&C leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Category LeadershipLead longterm sourcing strategies for complex D&C categories, including drilling services, completions services, well construction materials, and specialized downhole technologies.Serve as a senior commercial advisor to Drilling & Completions leadership, providing guidance on market trends, cost drivers, contracting strategies, and supplier risks.Drive category governance, forecasting, strategic decision-making, and value creation initiatives.Advanced Contracting & NegotiationLead negotiations for highvalue, highrisk contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), performance-based models, multi-year service contracts, and integrated D&C service packages.Mitigate commercial, operational, and supply chain risk through strategic contracting frameworks.Collaborate with Legal, HSE, and Well Engineering to support contract execution and issue resolution.RFP/RFQ Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and oversee complex RFPs/RFQs for D&C goods and services across multiple geographies or asset teams.Perform advanced bid evaluations, scenario analyses, and cost modeling.Drive supplier selection with a structured, defensible, and data-driven approach.Continuous Improvement & Value OptimizationIdentify long-term value opportunities around cost efficiency, process optimization, supplier innovation, and performance improvement.Champion continuous improvement practices, including standardization, automation, and compliance strengthening.Mentor junior SM professionals on sourcing methodologies and strategic commercial thinking.Supplier & Stakeholder EngagementAct as the senior point of contact for key D&C suppliers and internal operational leaders.Lead supplier performance reviews, risk mitigation plans, and contract management strategies.Build strong relationships with Drilling Superintendents, Well Engineers, Finance, HSE, and Supply Chain leadership.Required1520 years of Supply Management experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with significant focus on Drilling & Completions.Deep knowledge of D&C categories (drilling fluids, OCTG, wellheads, completions equipment, wireline, cementing, directional drilling, etc.).Proven success negotiating complex, high-value service contracts.Expert-level understanding of sourcing, contracting, category management, and supplier governance.Strong analytical, commercial, and risk management skills.Demonstrated experience driving strategic improvements and leading cross-functional initiatives.PreferredBachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.Advanced certifications (CPSM, CIPS, SCMP).Experience supporting both offshore and onshore drilling programs.Leadership or mentorship experience within a supply chain organization.Key CompetenciesStrategic thinking and long-term planning capability.Strong commercial judgment and decision-making.Ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide operational leaders.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.High level of integrity, professionalism, and safety mindset.
