We encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply, even if you do not meet every qualification listed below.We are looking for a Production Lead to provide structure, coordination, and technical direction within our Production function.This role ensures our cryogenic systems are built consistently and reliably, aligned with defined standards and timelines. The Production Lead works closely across Design, R&D, Project Management / Operations, and Procurement to support coordinated production execution.The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical production experience, strong organizational capability, and confidence operating across multiple stakeholders. This role reports into project-level leadership and contributes visibility into build readiness, constraints, and execution progress.What Will You DoEnsure the integrity, completeness, and readiness of systems prior to shipmentOwn day-to-day direction of the production team, ensuring priorities are clear and work is executed in alignment with production plansGuide technicians through build execution, including sequencing, resolving technical ambiguity, and reinforcing expected standardsProvide technical direction on assembly methods and support problem-solving during buildsEnsure production is properly aligned with build requirements from key stakeholders to support executionIdentify and resolve constraints related to materials, tooling, or production capacityEnsure adherence to quality standards, workmanship expectations, and documented processesSupport the development and use of production procedures, work instructions, and documentationReinforce consistency and reduce variability across buildsSupport onboarding, coaching, and development of technicians to strengthen team capabilityContribute to continuous improvement of production workflows and execution practicesAs production scales, this role will increasingly focus on enabling consistent execution across the team.Preferred Experience / Technical Skills5+ years experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or fabrication environmentExperience in a lead, senior technician, or production coordination roleStrong mechanical and/or electrical assembly experienceInstrumentation experience , including sensors, wiring, control systems, or process equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly documentationExperience working in environments requiring precision, cleanliness, and high-quality standardsStrong organizational and task prioritization skillsComfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environmentProven experience as a Shop Lead or similar role responsible for the work product of several staff membersNice to Have / Considered an AssetExperience supporting production scaling or workflow improvementExperience mentoring or guiding techniciansBackground in cryogenics, vacuum systems, or refrigerationExperience in high-mix, low-volume production environmentsStrong documentation and process improvement skillsWhat Will You BringStrong sense of accountability for production outcomesAbility to provide clarity and direction in a dynamic environmentHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityStructured problem-solving approachAbility to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needsStrong communication skills across teamsFocus on consistency, repeatability, and continuous improvementRespect for shared workspaces and a sense of pride in maintaining an organized environment.A valid drivers licenseCompensation and BenefitsHealth and dental$750 annual Health Care Spending AccountEmployee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP)Flexible Paid Time Off policyPaid statutory holidaysEmployee-paid life insurance and long-term disability benefitsWhy Choose Zero Point CryogenicsAt Zero Point Cryogenics, we are not just a company, we are a hub of cutting-edge scientific innovation.
