Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced U.S. College Admissions Consultant to support students applying to both undergraduate and graduate programs in the United States. The ideal candidate will provide end-to-end admissions guidance, including College selection, application strategy, essays and personal statements, and document preparation, helping students maximize their chances of admission to top U.S. universities.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive admissions consulting for U.S. undergraduate and graduate applicants Develop individualized application strategies based on student academic profiles and goals Guide students in selecting appropriate universities and programs Support and review application materials, including: Personal statements, essays, and short answersExtracurricular activities Recommendation lettersCVs or resumesAssist students with standardized testing planning (SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, SSAT if applicable) Conduct mock interviews and provide interview preparation coaching Monitor application timelines and ensure all deadlines are met Stay updated on U.S. admissions trends, policies, and competitive requirements Communicate with students and parents as needed throughout the application processCompensation Structure:This is a case-based compensation model Consultants will be paid per student case, with compensation varying depending on: Level of service required (undergraduate vs. graduate applications) Complexity of application portfolio Number of schools and essays involved Detailed compensation per case will be discussed during the interview stagePreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in U.S. college admissions consulting or related education field Strong understanding of U.S. undergraduate and graduate admissions systems and platformsExperience with top U.S. colleges (Top 50 / Ivy League preferred) Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills Strong analytical ability to position student profiles effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Bilingual (English & Mandarin) is an assetEducation & Experience:Bachelors degree or above (U.S. degree strongly preferred) Background in education, counseling, admissions, or academic advising preferred Proven track record of successful student admissions is an asset
