Role Logistics Title: Operations Manager Type: Full-time, Permanent Location: On-site Downtown Toronto, ON Hours: Typically 9:00am5:00pm, with after-hours availability for urgent operational issues (emergencies/critical escalations) Compensation: $80,000$100,000/yr Job Description Day-to-Day Insight Global is seeking an Operations Manager to join a fast-growing short-term rental and hospitality organization operating a large, high-volume portfolio of properties. This role sits just below the senior operations lead and is focused on hands-on operational execution, supporting daily workflows while helping stabilize and scale core operating processes. On a daily basis, this individual will: Oversee day-to-day guest communications and act as a primary escalation point for issues, complaints, and urgent scenarios Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to check-ins, cleanliness, maintenance issues, and guest experience, ensuring issues are fully resolved and documented Manage and support the guest communications team (offshore/remote), ensuring tasks are prioritized correctly across time zones Coordinate with cleaning partners to ensure unit readiness, turnovers, and quality standards are consistently met Triage and assign maintenance requests to internal resources or external vendors, tracking progress through completion Use internal tools to assign tasks, monitor workflows, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks Identify recurring issues and contribute to improvements in SOPs, workflows, documentation, and process automation Maintain accurate operational records, task tracking, and internal reporting Support onboarding and training of new team members as the organization continues to scale This position is well-suited for someone who is calm under pressure, highly organized, and comfortable managing real-time issues while balancing longer-term operational improvements. Must Haves 2+ years of experience in short-term rentals, hotel operations, hospitality, or property management Strong experience handling guest-facing escalations and time-sensitive operational issues Proven ability to prioritize tasks, make sound decisions, and problem-solve independently Highly organized with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working fully on-site and providing limited after-hours availability for emergencies Plusses Experience managing or supporting communications, cleaning, or maintenance teams Familiarity with task or ticketing systems used to assign and track operational work Experience building or improving processes, SOPs, and workflows Exposure to scaling operations in a growing hospitality or real estate environment Post-secondary education
