In 2022, we expanded with a dedicated animation department that creates final content for film, episodic, and games. Our work has received multiple Emmy and VES awards, and our clients include Disney, Marvel, Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Universal, 20th Century, and many more.The Third Floor is seeking a Nuke Compositor to join our new Animation department. Candidates should have extensive experience compositing in Nuke, a solid understanding of the fundamentals of VFX, Color and Value, and a strong creative eye for a final image. Additionally, candidates that have experience with stylized work/2D animation experience are highly preferred. A portfolio that demonstrates the eye and understanding for a final image is ideal. Compositors are required to work fluidly and efficiently.Full Time. Project based Remote Position. Must be based in British Columbia. Contract Duration: ~ June 29th - August 14th, 2026ResponsibilitiesCompositing shots.Tracking, roto, integration of CG and live-action elements.3D projections, lighting and colour grading.Maintain a high consistent standard of quality and speed.Working closely with teammates, director, and supervisor.Substantial experience compositing in Nuke.Possess a strong sense of composition, colour, lighting, perspective, and scale.Knowledge of roto, paint, tracking, keying, clean-up, and colour correction.Excellent understanding of techniques and technologies related to CG rendering and compositing.Experience in set extension and matte painting integration.Maintain a clean and organised Nuke workflow.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Able to take direction and work under tight deadlines.Experience working with Stylized/2D Animation work.Compositing in After Effects is an advantage.3D tracking software, e.g. PFTrack, 3DEqualiser.3D Animation software, e.g. Maya, Unreal a benefit.Scripting in Python is a plus.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in compositing with Nuke.Strong eye for composition, color, lighting, perspective, and scale.Knowledge of roto, paint, tracking, keying, clean-up, and color correction.Experience with stylized or 2D animation work is highly preferred.A portfolio showing the ability to deliver high-quality final images.Ability to work fluidly and efficiently while meeting deadlines.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Compensation and PerksThe pay scale is between $35 - 70 CAD / hour based on experience, skillset and other factors, plus additional Perks and Benefits.Legal and Work AuthorizationU.S. & Canada Applicants only: TTF participates in E-Verify and we will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new employees Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
