Your Opportunity You will work on tasks with close guidance and direction from a Senior Designer or Architect. This is an entry level architectural design role. We are looking for someone with the flexibility to take on a range of tasks from helping on construction drawings to developing presentation material. We work in all sectors, with a focus on education, healthcare, civic, commercial interiors, and industrial work were interested in someone who wants to take on a variety of work. Your Key Responsibilities Conducts basic interpretations of sketches, drawings, codes, building program and other similar material. Supports project team in development of design documentation. Assists in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats. Utilizes BIM technologies in development of threedimensional models of buildings and their components. Assist in research of materials and building systems. Your Capabilities and Credentials Basic understanding of Revit or AutoCAD and the use of it as a design tool. Basic experience with the most recent design software (Sketchup, Photoshop, and Illustrator, etc.) is preferred. Basic experience with design equipment (3D printer, laser cutter, etc.) is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handsketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively. Able to participate and collaborate in project team setting. Able to engage in creative and critical thought. Able to interpret basic sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material. Education & Experience Enrolled in an Architecture program at a university or college. Please include your portfolio with your application. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for parttime roles will be prorated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
