Your Opportunity As a talented and ambitious Junior Wildlife Biologist in our Saskatoon, SK office, you will be working in a multi-disciplinary technical team on environmental regulations across a variety of sectors, championing project planning, data collection & analysis, and technical reporting. You will support a large number of local and national projects and will work directly with clients and project management throughout the life of development projects. Your Key Responsibilities Planning and leading wildlife field surveys Supporting team members and clients on the application of environmental regulations, guidelines, and beneficial management practices across a variety of sectors and writing a variety of technical reports and environmental assessments in Manitoba (and elsewhere in Canada) Working in a collaborative team environment and under deadlines in wilderness and outdoor settings, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Familiarity with provincial and federal wildlife regulations and guidelines Demonstrated time-management skills and ability to deliver high-quality work products in a schedule-driven environment. Proven technical, communication, writing and organization skills. Professional consulting experience demonstrating progressive responsibility. Demonstrated experience undertaking a variety of wildlife and species at risk field surveys (e.g., migratory birds, mammals, amphibians) in Prairie and Boreal ecosystems. Familiarity with environmental construction monitoring and experience working collaboratively with contractors, clients, and stakeholders would be an asset. Good driving record and valid Class 5 drivers license required. Secondary experience undertaking vegetation surveys or aquatic surveys would be considered an asset. Able to lift 50lbs and endure long days of challenging field work while maintaining a positive, solutions-focused attitude. Excellent navigational skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in the field. Able to thrive in a dynamic environment under deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
