Description The incumbent supports the accuracy, currency, completeness, and availability of airworthiness technical data and aircraft records for the NFTC program, primarily within the Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS). This role also supports publications administration, baseline management, and technical investigations, while acting as a key backup to Records and Library functions. The position offers significant growth potential as programs and systems evolve, including future transition from paper-based to electronic records. ERKS Administration Administer and support ERKS, including use of ticketing systems to resolve program issues. Perform error reporting and contribute to continuous system improvement. Conduct and/or coordinate initial and recurrent ERKS training for users. Support validation and verification testing during ERKS application upgrades. Contribute to the development of dashboards and reports for planning, analysis, and decision-making. Publications Administration Register, process, and control amendments to technical publications and service documentation. Maintain the master technical library and audit satellite libraries. Track publication location, revision status, and authorized access. Assist with the creation, revision, and control of departmental policies and procedures. Act as backup for the Librarian Specialist and Records Specialist. ERKS Baseline & Maintenance Functions Build, test, implement, and revise ERKS baseline tasks in accordance with engineering and maintenance scheduling requirements. Manage aircraft configuration changes and baseline assembly structures. Audit maintenance plan task definitions for compliance. Monitor and track ROCL, TRI, MSI, and CLR task history to ensure timely completion. Audit task deadline dates and validate inventory usage and task intervals. Create and maintain serialized components, part numbers, consumables, and inventory transfers. Update aircraft usage records and affected sub-inventory as required. Coordinate and manage aircraft impound procedures. Support inspection scheduling logic, cascading tasks, and backup system processes. Technical Investigations Provide reports and historical data to support technical investigations and analysis of parts usage rates. Work Environment Hybrid work arrangement (23 days onsite per week). Monday to Friday schedule; standard business hours (7:003:30, 8:004:00, or 8:304:30). No travel required. Minimum Qualifications 2 to 5 years of relevant experience managing aircraft records and/or technical documentation. Experience working with electronic record keeping systems. Working knowledge of regulations governing aircraft technical records. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills. Eligibility to meet Controlled Goods Program requirements. Eligibility for ITAR compliance and ability to obtain required re-transfer authorizations. Ability to successfully pass required security evaluations. Preferred Qualifications AME license, or a degree or college diploma in an aviation-related field. Experience working within the DND Airworthiness Program. Familiarity with Maintenix or similar electronic maintenance record systems. Experience supporting both electronic and paper-based aircraft records environments. Experience acting as a system super user or providing advanced user support and training.
