Position Overview Digital Project Deliveries and IS Stewardship is part of the Information and Digital Services Portfolio, accountable for the digital and information services enabling Trillium Health Partners clinical, operational, and corporate priorities. This portfolio sits within the Performance, Business Intelligence, and Information and Digital Services Division. Reporting to the Chief Technology and Security Officer, the IT Director, Digital Project Deliveries and IS Stewardship leads a team accountable for enterprise digital project delivery and end-to-end information systems stewardship. This role provides leadership, governance, and oversight to ensure complex initiatives are delivered safely and effectively, and that THP digital assets remain sustainable, compliant, and aligned to organizational priorities. Provide enterprise leadership for the delivery of complex digital and information system initiatives across Trillium Health Partners (THP), enabling safe, high-quality patient care and effective hospital operations. Accountable for establishing and operating a standardized, high-performing digital project delivery model aligned with PMBOK and enterprise governance best practices. Lead the Project Management function, including portfolio intake, prioritization, planning, execution oversight, delivery assurance, and performance reporting. Provide full information systems stewardship across the digital asset lifecycle to ensure sustainability, compliance, and long-term operational value. Partner with clinical leaders, operational executives, technology teams, finance, privacy, legal, procurement, and external partners to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with organizational priorities. Drive value realization from digital investments through disciplined business case practices, financial controls, and benefits realization measurement. Key Responsibilities Provide executive oversight for planning and delivery of complex, multi-party digital initiatives across clinical, operational, corporate domains and external partners and vendors. Ensure consistent application of delivery standards, controls, and methodologies (e.g., stage gates, change control, integrated plans, RAID discipline (Risk/Assumptions/Issues/Decisions), delivery assurance). Establish and lead an enterprise PMO function, including intake, prioritization, governance forums, decision support, and transparent performance reporting. Implement structured portfolio processes and decision criteria to manage competing priorities, dependencies, capacity constraints, and organizational change tolerance. Provide delivery assurance practices to monitor progress, identify variances early, and direct corrective actions to protect quality, timelines, patient safety, and operational continuity. Ensure safe transition to operations through operational readiness, cutover planning, go-live governance, and stabilization oversight. Provide stewardship oversight for information systems across their lifecycle (planning, implementation, sustainment, renewal/rationalization, and retirement). Promote standardization, rationalization, and clear ownership models to reduce duplication and optimize total cost of ownership. Oversee digital project financial management including business cases, budget tracking, forecasting, and value/benefits measurement and reporting. Lead, mentor, and develop project delivery and stewardship leaders; foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and regional collaborators. Key Criteria and Qualifications University degree (4-year) in a relevant discipline (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Health Informatics, or related). Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in digital/IT delivery, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles overseeing large, complex project portfolios. Demonstrated enterprise program and portfolio leadership experience, including governance design, prioritization, and executive decision support. Strong knowledge and practical application of PMBOK-aligned project/program management standards and controls (e.g., integrated planning, risk/issue management, scope control, delivery assurance, and transition-to-operations). Proven financial acumen, including business case development, forecasting, budget oversight, and benefits/value realization measurement. Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to influence and align clinical, operational, technical, and corporate partners in complex environments. Excellent executive communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to translate delivery performance data into clear options and recommendations. Experience partnering with enabling functions (Finance, Privacy, Legal, Risk, Procurement, Cyber Security) to ensure compliant delivery and risk-managed outcomes. Experience with vendor/partner management, including milestone governance, performance oversight, escalation management, and change control. Demonstrated people leadership capability, including coaching, mentoring, capability building, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance team culture. Preferred certifications: PMP, PgMP, ITIL, Lean, or equivalent enterprise delivery certifications. Position Location and Travel Your primary site initially will be Credit Valley Hospital; however, you may periodically be required to work at another THP/ Stakeholder site and therefore periodic travel between sites and other visits may be necessary.
