About the Role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance, the Test Automation Engineer is responsible for designing high-quality test strategies and expanding automation coverage within our Test Automation Framework. This role ensures reliable, high-quality releases aligned with company standards and champions industry-recognized Quality Assurance methodologies and automation best practices. The Test Automation Engineer continuously seeks opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and coverage across all QA activities. Responsibilities In this role, youll take ownership of the following key areas: Design, develop, and maintain a scalable Test Automation Framework and automated regression test suite. Contribute to the evolution of the automation framework, participate in code reviews, and help uphold automation standards and best practices. Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, strategies, and documentation based on technical and product requirements. Perform automated and manual Functional, Integration, and Regression testing within release cycles. Collaborate closely with Developers to identify, reproduce, and verify defect fixes. Partner with Customer Support, Marketing, and other stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing. Continuously improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and CI/CD integration. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate test automation, improve coverage, and validate generated outputs for accuracy and quality. What You Bring Were looking for someone who brings some or all of the following: 2+ years of experience performing automated and manual regression testing on Web and Mobile applications. Experience testing Web applications built on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) technologies and Mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms. Proven expertise with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JMeter, TestNG, Maven, and Cucumber. Solid understanding of integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI), supporting continuous testing and dependable release cycles. Handson experience with Functional and Nonfunctional testing, including Integration, Regression, Security, Load & Performance, and Usability testing. Strong ability to design detailed test cases and develop comprehensive test strategies for largescale projects. Experience writing complex SQL queries to create and validate test data, and reviewing system logs and database records to verify technical test cases. Experience using modern AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools) to enhance development productivity, with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AIgenerated outputs. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across diverse, crossfunctional teams. Hybrid Work Details We are a hybrid workplace, allowing employees to work remotely from home. However, this position requires one inoffice day per month on preset dates, during which all company employees are expected to attend. Our office is located at 100 Dundas Street, London, Ontario. Additionally, you may be asked to come into the office as needed with reasonable notice. Compensation Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 CAD A typical hire for this role generally falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal equity. Employees grow through the range based on performance and demonstrated competencies. Additional Notes All interviewed candidates will receive notification within 45 days of final interviews.
