About the Role In FTI Consultings Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, we focus on our clients strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. We operate in small engagement teams to provide direct hands-on experience to our clients. What Youll Do The Senior Consultant will work with clients in domestic and multinational companies across various and diverse industries. Some of the job responsibilities will include: Oversee the day-to-day financial activities of restructuring and/or transactions advisory engagements Apply business, accounting, finance and analysis skills to various client situations and practice disciplines Review financial statements and perform quality of earnings/cash flow analysis Prepare and/or review complex financial projections to model business processes and/or transactions Assess business plans, cash flows, and analyze large amounts of data associated with restructuring plans Conduct financial due diligence and financial analysis of clients and potential target companies Understand all aspects of the clients business including review of operational and financial performance Draft written reports and/or presentations on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities Work with the clients senior management, restructuring / legal / finance experts on work engagements Manage the engagement team and provide coaching to junior team members How Youll Grow We are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth and development opportunities. What You Will Need To Succeed Basic Qualifications Bachelors or masters degree in accounting, Economics, or Finance Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-graduate experience Understanding of financial statements and corporate functions Advanced Excel modelling and PowerPoint skills Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed up to 60% Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship Preferred Qualifications CPA, CFA or MBA preferred Relevant experience in a professional services firm (public accounting, consulting, etc.) Advanced problem-solving and issue resolution skills Professional verbal and written communications, including report writing Strong interest in finance and working in a professional services environment Ability and willingness to learn and adapt in an ever-changing environment to meet client needs #LI-SC3 Our goal is to support the wellbeing of you and your familiesphysically, emotionally, and financially.
