The Role We are looking for a Cloud Engineer who specializes in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to serve as a technical anchor for our enterprise cloud initiatives. You wont just be managing servers; you will be architecting the resilient, high-performance foundations that power our clients most critical digital products. You will apply a builders mindset to automate infrastructure, optimize distributed systems, and lead the technical direction of OCI deployments. What Youll Do OCI Architecture: Architect, design, and implement scalable microservices using Spring Boot and Java specifically optimized for the OCI environment. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Apply IaC practices (Terraform, OCI Resource Manager) to automate infrastructure provisioning, management, and scaling. Container Orchestration: Deploy and manage microservices using Docker and OCI Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE). Event-Driven Systems: Build and manage event-driven architectures, leveraging OCI Streaming or Apache Kafka. Performance & Availability: Design and maintain high-performance, low-latency, and high-availability systems with a focus on OCIs unique regional and AD (Availability Domain) structures. DevOps Integration: Collaborate with teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Gradle/Maven, BitBucket, and Ansible. Security & Observability: Implement proactive monitoring using OCI Monitoring/Logging or tools like Splunk and Dynatrace. Ensure data encryption (PKI, TLS, at rest and in transit. What Were Looking For OCI Certification: Mandatory current Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certification. Engineering Rigor: Extensive experience in public cloud environments, with a deep mastery of OCI services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity). Backend Mastery: Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and experience with Python and shell scripting for automation. Distributed Systems: Strong background in microservices architecture, RESTful API development, and messaging frameworks like Apache Kafka. Data Expertise: Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies (e.g., OCI Autonomous Database). Judgment & Communication: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex architectural tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders. Bonus Points For Experience in the media or financial services industry, particularly with high-security or regulatory requirements. Experience migrating enterprise workloads from on-prem or other cloud providers (GCP/AWS) to OCI. Why TribalScale?
