Base pay range CA$106,000.00/yr - CA$146,000.00/yr Department : Design Reports to : Director, Colour & Graphics Your opportunity at ARCTERYX : As a Senior Colour Designer Womens apparel, you drive the colour creative process from concept through to development. You lead the delivery of seasonal collections to maintain a strong competitive advantage in all relevant markets, with recognized colour excellence across our product lines. You champion the colour creation process in line with Arcteryx brand standards, design, product principles, and colour merchandising philosophies. You work to improve process efficiencies for Colour throughout all of our cross-functional touchpoints. This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. Meet your future team: The Colour & Graphics Team is a hub that links the product design and visual merchandising process with the guest experience. We balance creativity, design, process, and logistics to ensure the successful execution of the Arcteryx colour and graphics design philosophy. Core responsibilities include: Building, coaching, and guiding a high-performing team of colour designers Mentoring colour designers and overseeing all colour specifications to meet brand aesthetics Forecasting colour direction for collections and creating cross-category cohesiveness Creating palettes based on sociological insights, global trends, and regional preferences, maintaining Arcteryxs essence Collaborating on innovative product creation feasible within manufacturing constraints Establishing best practices to ensure colour quality and process efficiency Managing colour lifecycle to balance timelines and creative input Delivering commercial colour assortments aligned with business metrics Collaborating with Visual Merchandising and PLM teams on seasonal strategies and assortments Driving colour merchandising concepts and cross-merchandising strategies Building industry contacts for colour creative development Future projects may include: Developing and presenting colour vision for seasons and evergreen collections Partnering with design on palettes and graphic development Collaborating with merchandising teams for enhanced guest experience Working with Supply Chain on logistical frameworks Sharing seasonal colour strategies with brand and commercial teams Qualifications: Apparel Design Diploma or equivalent experience 7+ years in colour and fashion environment Exceptional sense for colour harmony and extensive colour theory knowledge Superior colour acuity and understanding of materials Experience in line development and successful collection delivery Knowledge of Arcteryx products and applications Advanced Adobe skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Understanding of retail buying, line development, and manufacturing timelines Proactive, creative problem solver with attention to detail Leadership and influencing skills Awareness of global markets and cultural differences Equal Opportunity Arcteryx fosters an inclusive culture where all voices are heard and respected.
