We are seeking to hire a Business Management Consultant who has experience in building multi-year business plans, establish processes and templates and facilitate training. What You Will Do Reporting to the Manager Business Management, your overall responsible will be to develop, facilitate and/or support initiatives that mature and bring consistency to the CSGs business management and planning practices. As the Consultant, you will work closely in collaboration with the Manager to drive the development and/or revision of CSG policies, with a focus on budgeting and financial control policies. Develop and implement a multi-year business planning process framework to link and integrate corporate planning, business planning, and financial planning & budgeting. This includes establishing processes, procedures, and templates, as well as providing corporate business training to Corporate Services and other Business Partners across the organization as required. You will require an excellent understanding of existing services, strategies, plans, objectives, KPIs and targets, in order to develop and implement leading practices that deliver the highest level of performance, quality and customer service. Support management with numerous transformational programs by developing and delivering related corporate training to ensure change management. What Qualifications Do You Bring? Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business administration, finance, public administration, etc.), along with related experience, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent. Experience in developing and implementing business management and planning policies, procedures, processes, and tools based on leading practices. Experience in strategic and business planning support and evaluation; financial planning, budgeting, analysis & management; performance measurement, in a large public or private sector organization. Experience in developing and delivering corporate training and development programs related to business management policies, procedures and processes to maximize financial and organizational performance & efficiency at a corporate or enterprise level. Knowledge of industry best practices and regulations related to business management. Good understanding of governance and accountability frameworks, principles, and application, preferably in a large public sector organization. Experience with providing business, financial and technical guidance to stakeholders and staff at various levels. Strong research, analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the capacity to understand complex financial, service, operating, and policy issues, as well as program interrelationships and the potential impacts and outcomes of policy actions; the ability to conceptualize and develop options and recommendations. Experience in analyzing, interpreting and summarizing information, and preparing comprehensive reports, for the purpose of supporting decision-making regarding financial, budgetary, policy and/or service issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing reports and delivering presentations with complex technical information to senior leadership teams. Experience with enterprise-wide financial, human resources and budgeting systems, preferably SAP. Excellent knowledge in MS Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel (including Macros, Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions and Data Analysis Functions) and other computerized applications related to financial planning, budgeting, accounting, costing and cost control. Ability to develop effective relationships both internally and externally, including staff at all levels, senior leaders, other levels of government, and external/peer organizations. Ability to manage competing priorities and demands in a rapidly changing environment. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning due to the complexity and rapidly changing conditions and issues.
