The Head of Retail / Lifestyle Vertical is responsible for driving commercial success within a defined industry vertical or customer segment. Reporting to the Area Head of Sales, this role leads a team of sales professionals to deliver volume, revenue and profit targets while expanding nonocean logistics specifically in Contract Logistics, Ground Freight (FTL & LTL) and supply chain services. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with handson leadership to build a highperforming team and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Commercial Delivery Lead the sales team to achieve budgeted targets for ocean and logistics & services (L&S) volumes & revenue. Drive revenue growth and profit optimization across all product lines. Expand nonocean logistics activities with emphasis on contract logistics, ground freight and supply chain offerings. Customer Satisfaction Monitor and improve Net Promoter Score (NPS) within the vertical/segment. Act on customer feedback to enhance service delivery and satisfaction. Stakeholder Management Collaborate with regional and global vertical leads to share insights and feedback. Provide qualified leads to Customer Acquisition (BDV) colleagues to support new customer logo growth. Team Leadership & Development Build and maintain a highperforming sales team with strong vertical expertise. Coach and mentor direct reports for performance management and career development. Ensure succession planning for key roles, including own position. Foster team engagement and a culture of continuous improvement. Required Experience & Skills Bachelors degree required. 510 years of external sales experience in transportation and logistics. 35 years of management experience. Strong business acumen and understanding of industry dynamics. Proven leadership and team development capabilities. Expertise in sales strategy, process, and execution. Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills. Proficiency in Salesforce.com and MS Office Suite. Willingness to travel frequently. The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
