Description The primary duties of this position will consist of performing managerial duties and overseeing the daily operations of a Congregate Nutritional Site to ensure a safe, clean and well maintained facility for the congregate and home bound feeding program for senior adults. The person in this position will plan and schedule daily programs, meals and activities for senior participants as well as be responsible for adhering to all budget restrictions and expectations which meet the NC Division of Aging Standards. This position requires accurate accounting, thorough record keeping and daily documentation of the nutrition program to include dates and times of meal service, meal temperatures, daily participation and attendance, consumer contributions, referrals for other services and resources, and activities provided. The person in this position will work closely with the Senior Service Coordinator, Senior Nutrition Assistant, Deputy Director of the Halifax County DSS and other community, regional and state agencies. This position could require occasional travel outside the Nutrition Site and occasional lifting up to 15 pounds. The person in this position must be able to multitask, perform basic mathematical calculations, use office equipment such as a copier, fax, and computer, have exceptional organizational skills, exhibit patience, and work well with others. Requirements Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school (or GED equivalent), and one year of supervisory experience. Prefer experience working with older adults. A valid N.C. drivers license is required, and a ServSafe Certification is preferred or must be completed within 6 months of employment. Compensation The hiring range for this part time position is $15.00 per hour. This position will be expected to work up to 22.50 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30am 1:00pm daily. The continuation of this position is subject to yearly review and approval of grant funds.
