This position is part of the Rotary and Mission Systems business area, where employees across Canada support engineering, systems integration, training, sustainment and in-service support programs for Canadian and international military customers across land, air and sea. The successful candidate will work as part of the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Integration Test and Evaluation (IT&E) Acceptance team. Specific responsibilities include: The Subsystem Acceptance Engineer will report to the Acceptance Lead and be responsible for executing the subsystem acceptance strategy This role will be responsible for reviewing vendor acceptance related documentation: Verification Cross-Reference Matrices (VCRMs), plans, reports, etc. This role will assist in building traceability and linkages of subsystem vendor VCRMs to the customer specification in Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) This role will assist with gathering the Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) delivered by the subsystem vendors and will support Verification and Validation (V&V) conferences with the Irving Shipbuilding Inc. (ISI)/ Project Management Office (PMO) customer Coordinating with the Acceptance Lead and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to execute a consistent, coherent, and effective subsystem acceptance strategy Review and approval of vendor acceptance related Vendor Document Requirement Listings (VDRLs). Required skills, qualifications and experience: Bachelors degree or diploma in an engineering discipline and/or combined technical experience 2 years or more of professional experience Familiarity with IBM DOORS Integration and Test (I&T) experience including VCRM and customer acceptance experience Demonstrate an honest, open, respectful, team oriented, positive attitude Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Desired skills, qualifications and experience: Detailed knowledge of I&T processes Direct customer acceptance/sell-off experience Experience in reviewing/acceptance of vendor documentation Agile work environment experience Familiarity with JIRA, Redmine, ClearCase, ClearQuest, and Windchill Experience with Microsoft common office tools #J-18808-Ljbffr
