Leadership Opportunity With the planned retirement of the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) this fall, VPCH is seeking a mission-driven leader to guide the organization into its next chapter. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will be responsible for overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational performance. Key Responsibilities As the organizations primary ambassador, the CEO will deepen relationships with government, funders, and community partners, while enhancing the organizations profile as a leader in affordable housing and community development. The CEO will strengthen positioning VPCH for sustainable growth, balancing expansion with longterm sustainability, overseeing portfolio growth while navigating funding pressures, development risks, and increasing complexity in tenant needs. The CEO will champion a tenantcentred approach, ensuring that service delivery remains responsive, equitable, and focused on community impact. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a seasoned and valuesdriven executive with senior leadership experience in housing, real estate, development, or a related sector. They bring strong financial and operational acumen, a track record of leading growth and transformation, and a deep understanding of complex stakeholder environments. The candidate is an effective contract negotiator, a relationship builder, comfortable working with and reporting to a Board, government, and community partners, and possesses the emotional intelligence, resilience, and judgment required to lead in a missiondriven context.
