Experiencing a period of exponential growth and sustained venture funding, they are seeking an innovative and best practice Controller to assume a leadership role within their growing finance team. Reporting to the COO & CFO, this role will be responsible for driving and sophisticating their finance function. The Controller will oversee the financial reporting process, prepare consolidated statements, deepen their FPA platform, and further develop the back-end to support growth. Experience in CPG and/or manufacturing is an asset. This is an ideal role for a designated accounting professional eager to own the build-out of a broad financial mandate in an entrepreneurial high-growth business. Role Responsibilities Responsible for the Company''s monthly financial close process, ensuring effective general accounting and general ledger, revenue recognition, payroll, accounts receivable and payable, supplies inventory, risk management, credit, and cost accounting. Lead the sophistication of the North American consolidated reporting. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of results, including analysis and explanation of variances. Oversee accurate and appropriate accounting system processes. This will involve maintaining a current and working knowledge of information systems to facilitate the design and implementation of the accounting structure within the system, ensuring it corresponds to business arrangements and meets business needs. Provide insight as it relates to treasury and funding, which includes assessing, monitoring, and planning the company''s cash utilization. Participate in financing activities and provide the necessary documentation and information needed to secure new debt for expansion. Work with the auditors to support the year-end audit, along with other regulatory reporting requirements. Desired Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a track record of growth and demonstrated ability to produce IFRS financial statements.CPG and/or manufacturing finance experience is an asset. A CPA (or equivalent) designation. Gaining foundational experience in a public accounting firm is an asset. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and manage changing priorities. Team-oriented and desire to work within a growing organization. Experience working with ERP/financial systems and implementing new financial systems is an asset. Possesses an innovative builder mentality with high personal integrity, who is unafraid to roll up their sleeves to support the team and the overall business. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Please note that at present, legal eligibility to work in Canada is a prerequisite for this role.
