The Role As a People & Culture Partner , youll play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience at MediaValet. This is a handson, highimpact role where youll contribute across the full spectrum of People & Culturefrom talent acquisition to employee experience to operationswhile also helping to build and evolve our programs, processes, and infrastructure as we continue to scale. Youll partner closely with leaders and employees across the company, acting as a trusted resource and driving initiatives that help our people do their best work. Depending on your experience and interests, youll have the opportunity to take ownership of key projects and programs endtoend. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, rollupyoursleeves environment and is excited by the opportunity to build, not just maintain. This is a hybrid role (flexible to be 2060% in office) based in Vancouver. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manage fullcycle recruitment, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring teams. Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, define competencies, and guide effective hiring practices. Leverage our ATS (currently Greenhouse) to drive efficiency, consistency, and strong hiring outcomes. Develop strategies to attract top talent and strengthen our employer brand. Ensure timely and thoughtful communication with candidates at every stage of the hiring process. Draft employment agreements with a high degree of accuracy and jurisdictional compliance. Coordinate onboarding across stakeholders to ensure smooth, engaging new hire experiences. Manage onboarding processes, including documentation, background checks, HRIS updates, and payroll coordination. Conduct new hire checkins and support managers in setting employees up for early success. Continuously improve onboarding to help new hires ramp quickly, feel connected, and thrive. P&C Operations & Compliance Maintain and evolve P&C policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with Canadian and US employment laws. Manage and optimize our HRIS (BambooHR), benefits administration, and payroll collaboration. Support key business rhythms such as performance reviews, compensation planning, engagement surveys, and 360 feedback cycles. Manage employee documentation, contract updates, and P&C reporting. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce friction, and enhance operational effectiveness across the employee lifecycle. Employee Experience & Engagement Act as a trusted resource for employees and managers, supporting employee relations with care, discretion, and sound judgment. Partner with leaders to align P&C initiatives with business needs and team effectiveness. Conduct regular 1:1s with leaders to provide guidance, coaching, and support. Plan and execute team events, engagement initiatives, and internal communications. Source vendors, manage budgets, and deliver highquality employee experiences in creative, costeffective ways. Support learning and development efforts, including coaching, performance improvement plans, and growth opportunities. Own and continuously improve the employee experience across both our physical and virtual work environments, ensuring they support connection, productivity, and engagement. CrossFunctional Collaboration & Projects Partner with InfoSec to support SOC and ISO compliance related to People & Culture (training, tracking, audits). Build and maintain an internal P&C knowledge base (e.g., Confluence or MV DAM) to ensure accessibility and clarity of policies and practices. Support offboarding processes, including exit interviews, transitions, and change management. Contribute to and lead projects that strengthen our People & Culture foundation, systems, and programs as we scale. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in HR, People & Culture, or a related role with exposure to multiple HR functions. Proficiency in fullcycle recruitment and working knowledge of Canadian and US employment standards. Experience managing an HRIS, ATS, engagement platforms, and other HR tech tools. Postsecondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldor equivalent professional experience. CPHR designation (or working towards it) is an asset. Experience in a tech or SaaS environment is a strong plus. Bonus points for experience in event planning, project management, or building HR programs/processes from the ground up.
