Position Overview The Head of Commercial Finance (FP&A) reports to the Chief Financial Officer and serves as the primary finance partner to the President, Brand & Commercial, with close engagement with the President, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Leadership Team. This role provides independent, objective, and fact-based financial leadership across the commercial agendabalancing growth ambition and brand strategy with financial discipline, risk management, and longterm shareholder value creation via margin expansion in a public-company environment. The role anchors the companys commercial finance discipline across the weekly trade, monthly Management Operating Review (MOR), semiannual Latest Estimate (LE), and annual budget cycles, ensuring a consistent, credible, and wellgoverned financial view from shortterm execution through longterm strategy. The Head of Commercial Finance must be oriented towards the future with a bias towards: what/so what/now what actions. What Youll Do Serve as the primary finance partner to the Commercial business while leading a team of finance business partners across Brand/Marketing, Retail, Ecommerce, Wholesale, and Regional leadership. Shape and challenge strategy through a luxury lens, balancing growth, scarcity, brand equity, and margin sustainability. Provide financial input on pricing architecture, channel strategy, and geographic expansion while acting as a credible challenger within a strong partnership model. Own commercial planning across budget, forecast, and longrange plan. Lead forecasting across demand, revenue, and consolidated gross margin, incorporating long product lifecycles, seasonality, tourism, and regional variability. Implement scenariobased planning and drive accountability for forecast accuracy. Own insight into revenue and gross margin drivers including price realization, mix, FX, and channel economics. Partner with Merchandising and Supply Chain to link demand, inventory, and margin outcomes. Lead financial evaluation of brandled investments including marketing, flagship network decisions, and digital initiatives. Design ROI frameworks suitable for luxury businesses and ensure postinvestment tracking feeds back into future decisionmaking. Provide independent financial oversight, clear documentation of assumptions, and transparent communication of risks and tradeoffs. Ensure alignment with internal controls, disclosure standards, and Boardlevel expectations. Support CFO and Executive Team preparation for Board and Executive Team discussions. Play a central role in weekly trade reviews, monthly MOR, semiannual Latest Estimate, and annual budget cycles. Ensure insight consistency across time horizons and support nosurprises escalation and decisionmaking. Lead and develop a highperforming commercial FP&A team. Set standards for analytical rigor and executive communication, mentor future finance leaders, and build bench strength. Lets Talk About You 15+ years of progressive FP&A or commercial finance experience Track record of exceptional performance with clear evidence of impact in highpressure, resultsoriented roles (e.g., private equity, management consulting, highgrowth FP&A, strategic finance). Required: prior experience in luxury or premium retail, ideally within a multichannel environment (DTC, ecommerce, wholesale). Deep understanding of luxury pricing, margin management, and channel economics, including the longterm brand and profitability implications of commercial decisions. Demonstrated capital allocation experience, balancing investments across the commercial portfolio with a disciplined, factbased approach. Proven ability to partner with, influence, and credibly challenge senior commercial leaders. Experience leading through influence in complex, matrixed organizations. Experience operating in a publiccompany environment, with an appreciation for forecast credibility, disclosure standards, and internal controls. Demonstrated judgment in balancing pace with rigor in environments where external commitments and earnings integrity matter. Operates with pace and accountability; comfortable owning outcomes, not just analysis. Equally effective rolling up sleeves to perform handson analysis and operating confidently in Executive Team and Boardlevel forums. Curious, adaptable, and comfortable in ambiguity; pragmatic decisionmaker with a strong sense for materiality and valuecreating focus. Advanced financial modeling, scenario analysis, and executive storytelling capabilities. Bonus: handson experience with Anaplan or comparable planning and forecasting platforms.
