The Senior Project Manager, FF&E leads the planning, coordination, procurement and implementation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for complex redevelopment initiatives within the Project Horizon program at SickKids. Project Horizon represents a major multiphase hospital redevelopment initiative involving complex coordination between clinical programs, design consultants, construction teams, and operational partners. Project scopes may include multimillion dollar FF&E procurement packages supporting large hospital redevelopment initiatives. Working under the direction of the Senior Manager, FF&E, the role provides seniorlevel project leadership to ensure equipment and furniture requirements are effectively integrated into design development, infrastructure planning, procurement strategies, construction sequencing, and operational readiness activities. The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the leadership and successful delivery of complex FF&E project scopes, including initiatives involving significant budgets, technical infrastructure requirements, and multidisciplinary stakeholder coordination. You will work closely with clinical leaders, consultants, contractors, Strategic Sourcing teams and operational partners to ensure FF&E planning supports the safe and effective activation of new clinical and operational environments across Project Horizon. Heres What Youll Get To Do Ensure FF&E requirements are integrated into architectural, mechanical and electrical design processes. Lead clinical user engagement processes to capture and validate equipment and furniture requirements. Coordinate and collaborate with external FF&E advisors and consultants to support equipment planning activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements, design development, procurement strategies and construction timelines. Support the development and implementation of equipment and furniture standardisation strategies across Project Horizon initiatives where appropriate. Develop procurement strategies and lead the preparation of specifications, tender documentation and vendor evaluations in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain teams. Manage FF&E budgets and procurement activities for assigned project scopes including forecasting, cost tracking and financial risk identification. Coordinate FF&E planning activities with construction schedules, infrastructure readiness and operational activation timelines. Identify and manage risks related to equipment planning, procurement and infrastructure readiness. Provide functional leadership and coordination to project managers, consultants and subject matter experts supporting FF&E planning across assigned projects. Work collaboratively with members of the FF&E team to coordinate project delivery, share knowledge, and support consistent FF&E planning practices across multiple projects. Work collaboratively with the broader Project Horizon team including Delivery Project Managers, Clinical Reinvention Team and Project Control and Integration across Project Horizon initiatives. Maintain strong working relationships with internal partners including Medical Engineering, Facilities Operations, Information Technology and clinical programs. Participate in project committees, planning meetings and working groups related to FF&E planning and hospital redevelopment initiatives. Prepare reports and presentations related to FF&E planning progress, risks and budget performance. Support the development, implementation and maintenance of an FF&E asset management system and associated policies and procedures. Heres What Youll Need Minimum 8 years of experience in healthcare capital redevelopment, facilities planning, equipment planning or major capital project management, preferably within complex hospital or healthcare environments. Demonstrated experience leading FF&E planning for complex healthcare redevelopment projects. Experience managing large FF&E procurement packages and capital equipment budgets. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, consultants and construction partners. Strong understanding of healthcare infrastructure requirements for clinical equipment and furniture. Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings. Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion objectives. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent certification preferred. Familiarity with the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive is considered an asset. Familiarity with Construction Management and IOs P3 Delivery Model considered an asset. Experience working with a PMIS is considered an asset. Experience with Primavera 6 scheduling software is considered an asset. Experience with CMMS applications considered an asset.
