Job Description

Position Overview Breck Construction is a Saskatchewan-grown, multi-trade industrial contractor working across mining, oil and gas, power generation and heavy industrial sectors. We execute major projects, shutdowns, maintenance programs and complex upgrades for some of Canadas largest industrial companies. Responsibilities Business Leadership and Growth Own the overall performance of the Regina branch, including operational, financial and commercial outcomes. Drive growth of Brecks industrial construction and scaffolding services across Southern Saskatchewan. Position Breck as a preferred contractor with key clients through consistent delivery and strong relationships. Market Development Represent Breck with major clients, industry partners and community stakeholders. Strengthen Brecks reputation as a trusted contractor through consistent delivery and client engagement. Lead strategic client development initiatives with mining, power generation, oil and gas and industrial and institutional sectors. Support proposal strategy for major projects, shutdowns and long-term maintenance contracts. Operational Excellence Establish and refine operational systems that improve productivity, quality, cost control across all projects. Oversee local estimating and project management functions to ensure strong execution and margin performance. Responsible for workforce and schedule planning. Implement best practices for project delivery, estimating accuracy and schedule performance. Monitor key performance indicators including labour productivity, equipment utilization, margins and safety performance. Ensure optimal supply chain and resource planning to support current and future workload. Leadership and Team Development Build, mentor and develop strong teams including supervisors, project team and support staff. Promote a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement across all levels. Ensure staff are effectively utilized and deployed to maximize productivity and performance. Develop succession plans and create growth opportunities for high performing team members. Safety Leadership Champion Brecks safety culture and lead by example in all operational decisions. Ensure projects consistently meet or exceed client and regulatory safety standards. Participate in safety reviews, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives. Risk and Financial Management Oversee contract execution and ensure commercial risks are identified and managed appropriately. Review project margins, contract performance and change management processes. Identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs. Analyze financial and operational data to guide decision making to improve business performance. Qualifications 7+ years of leadership experience in industrial construction related field. Extensive knowledge of business functions including operations, finance, project management and procurement. Strong commercial awareness with experience in estimating, cost control and contract performance. Proven ability to lead teams, build client relationships and drive operational results. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Business education considered an asset. Direct communicator with strong negotiation and leadership capabilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project); Primavera P6 is an asset. Valid Class 5 Drivers License (driving abstract required). Organization Structure The Branch Manager Regina reports directly to the Director of Construction. Working Conditions Travel to and between jobsites as required. Travel across Canada when required. May be required to work outside regular work hours Fast-paced industrial environment requiring focus, resilience and strong prioritization.
