Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Workstream Tech Lead (Data Modernization & Consolidation Program) to join one of our largest banking clients on a 6month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Lead endtoend delivery of an assigned workstream within a largescale data modernization and consolidation program. Develop and manage workstream plans, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables. Coordinate crossfunctional teams including project managers, business analysts, data architects, security/compliance teams, and vendors. Act as the primary point of contact for the workstream; run status meetings and provide updates to program leadership. Oversee requirements gathering and ensure solutions meet business needs, technical standards, and regulatory requirements. Review and approve workstream documentation including process flows, data models, and migration or consolidation strategies. Identify, manage, and elevate risks, issues, and dependencies. Oversee testing, validation, and acceptance activities to ensure data quality, system integrity, and business continuity. Lead go/nogo decisions and postimplementation reviews. Track KPIs, milestones, and outcomes; prepare executive dashboards and summaries. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and best practice adoption. Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree in business, Information Technology, Computer/Data Science, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in project or program delivery roles, with at least 2 years leading workstreams or teams in large-scale data modernization, consolidation, or migration programs. Extensive handson experience with enterprise storage technologies (SAN, NAS, object storage, softwaredefined storage, cloud storage platforms such as AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage). Deep understanding of backup and archival solutions (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, Veritas NetBackup, Rubrik, Cohesity, tape libraries, WORM storage, cloudnative backup). Experience with storage protocols (iSCSI, Fiber Channel, NFS, SMB/CIFS, S3 API) and data migration tools/methodologies. Knowledge of storage performance tuning, monitoring, capacity planning, and security best practices (encryption, access controls, compliance). Strong understanding of data management, data platforms, and data governance principles. Proven leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing complex technical projects in a fastpaced, highpressure environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problemsolving abilities. Experience in the Canadian banking sector or other regulated environments. Experience presenting to executive or SteerColevel audiences. Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with reporting, project management, and dashboard tools. Relevant certifications (e.g., SNIA, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, VMware, etc.). Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell) for storage management.
