Salary: $103,600 to $120,780 (plus applicable allowances, including a terminable allowance of $6,000 for a Masters degree or $12,000 for a Ph.D. and a Correctional Service Specific Duty Allowance of $2,140 per year. Work environment: As a Psychologist within CSC Health Services, you will work as an autonomous health provider in a dynamic, evidencebased multidisciplinary practice offering essential psychological services (assessment, intervention, and treatment) to a diverse patient profile. Duties Provide assessments of risk to reoffend. Provide assessments of personality, mental health, and criminogenic needs. Assess risk for suicide or selfinjury. Provide interventions to preserve life and prevent serious bodily harm. Provide interventions to promote improved emotional and behavioural adjustment. Provide supportive counselling to clients in crisis. Provide psychotherapy to facilitate positive change in emotional, behavioural, and social functioning. Conduct approved research with patients in the domain of forensic, clinical psychology or mental health. Provide leadership, mentorship or supervision to health professionals and interns or practicum students. Involved in Accreditation and Quality Improvement processes. Essential qualifications Education: Graduation with a masters or doctorate degree from a recognized postsecondary institution specializing in clinical, forensic or counselling psychology. Occupational certification: Registered/Licensed for autonomous practice of psychology in good standing, per the regulatory standards of the applicable college. Registration must be in the province or territory where the position is located. Experience: Proven experience in providing psychological services such as assessment, counselling or other services with adults (individuals or groups); experience in assessing/diagnosing mental disorders; experience delivering psychotherapeutic interventions. Other qualifications (if applicable) Experience in forensic/correctional settings. Experience providing services to diverse populations and culturally sensitive interventions. Experience treating complex mental disorders. Experience providing assessment and intervention services for substance use. Experience providing assessment and intervention services in the context of suicide and nonsuicide selfinjury.
