Opportunity Under the direction of the Manager, Quality, the Quality Lead oversees the execution of the projectspecific Quality Program, ensuring full compliance with contractual, regulatory, and code requirements. The role supports safe, consistent, and efficient quality inspection activities while providing guidance to QC Inspectors and crossfunctional project teams throughout planning, execution, and closeout phases. The Quality Lead works closely with operations, engineering, construction, and client representatives to verify that all inspection, testing, and documentation processes are completed accurately and on time. The position supports quality planning, inspection coordination, nonconformance management, records control, calibration oversight, and continuous improvement activities. Operating in a highly regulated, fastpaced environment, the Quality Lead plays a critical role in safeguarding quality standards, ensuring traceability and compliance, and fostering strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders. What Youll Do Here Supervise and support QC Inspectors in all daily work activities. Ensure quality programs are fully implemented. Train staff and guide performance of their duties. Ensure timely inspections are performed. Maintain compliance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant code requirements. Conduct physical and visual inspections of projects in progress. Interface with customer/owner and Code inspectors as required. Submit accurate and timely documentation. Adhere to all quality elements relating to the CWB, B&PV and Nuclear Quality Programs. Provide feedback to QC Inspectors on performance of duties. Encourage and coach employees to foster professional development. Promote effective teamwork within the QC Inspection team. Assist employees in coordinating activities requiring cooperation of suppliers, distributors, and other divisions. Develop and supervise preparation of job related documentation. Coordinate QC work according to daily and weekly production schedules. Perform required periodic activities including cleaning and calibrating equipment, providing testing materials, organizing equipment, and ordering supplies. Assist in developing Quality Procedures and Work Instructions for both shop and site projects. Maintain adequate records and ensure adherence to guidelines and regulations regarding hazardous materials, safety manuals, accident reports, permits, and emergency recovery plans. What You Bring To The Team Postsecondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC, or a related discipline at the university or college level. Minimum of five years experience in a fabrication inspection / quality assurance role in a lead position. Good communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy in MS Office and databases. Knowledge and working experience of Nuclear and NonNuclear ASME & CSA Codes / ISO 9001 and CWB. Certified CWB/AWS/API Weld Inspector Level II or equivalent (asset). Training in PT, MT, and VT NDE methods. Training in calibration methods and processes. Quality Program Auditor training. Salary: The expected salary for this position is $75,000 - $110,000 annually. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
