This role often involves supporting legacy systems in core industries such as banking and finance. Role Descriptions Development and Maintenance Creating, enhancing, and maintaining mainframe applications using Assembler, often in conjunction with other languages such as COBOL, CICS, PLI, and JCL. Debugging and Issue Resolution Performing active debugging, performance tuning, and issue resolution using specialized tools such as IBM Debug Tool, Fault Analyzer, and IPCS to analyze dumps and logs. System Programming Working with MVS supervisor services, 64bit, and crossmemory services for advanced systemprogramming tasks. Modernization Efforts Participating in projects to migrate and modernize mainframe systems, which may involve working with cloud technologies or AIpowered features.
