As a Senior Infotainment Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering robust, highquality infotainment features to millions of customers. Youll lead test strategy, drive automation, mentor others, and help shape how we validate nextgeneration connected vehicle applications. You will be responsible for defining and executing the test strategy for our infotainment applications, with a strong focus on automation, quality, and scalability. Youll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other quality leaders to ensure new features are thoroughly validated and released with confidence. What Youll Do: Define the endtoend test strategy and test plans for infotainment applications based on product roadmaps and release milestones. Identify test coverage goals and balance manual vs automated testing to optimize quality and velocity. Design and document detailed test cases and test scenarios from requirements and user stories (experience with Jira and Xray is a plus). Execute smoke, sanity, regression, performance, stability, and exploratory tests and ensure results are tracked and communicated clearly. Build and maintain test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Appium) to maximize regression and functional coverage. Develop and enhance test tools, utilities, and scripts to support automated testing and continuous integration. Design and maintain automation pipelines for different test types (smoke, sanity, regression, performance, monkey, stability, etc.). Set up, configure, and maintain required test environments, devices, benches, and test equipment for both manual and automated execution. Troubleshoot environment issues and ensure the lab is reliable and ready for test execution. Prepare clear, comprehensive test reports and dashboards summarizing coverage, defects, and readiness. Provide initial issue triage and analysis; partner with development teams on root cause and fix validation. Actively contribute to defect prevention, process improvements, and best practices across the QA organization. Provide technical leadership within the test team, mentoring junior engineers in automation, tooling, and test design. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (development, product, UX, systems, integration, vehicle teams) to ensure high quality endtoend solutions. Champion continuous improvement of test processes, methodologies, and automation practices. Requirements 6+ years of embedded software QA/test experience in the mobile or automotive industry. 3+ years of handson experience testing Android code (applications, frameworks, or services). 3+ years of technical leadership experience, including mentoring or guiding junior team members. Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies, test design techniques, and QA tools. Proven experience with test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework and/or Appium. Excellent programming skills in Python and/or Java for building automation, tools, and scripts. Understanding of Scrum/Agile software development practices and working within crossfunctional agile teams. Knowledge of connectivity technologies (Bluetooth, WiFi, mobile data, cloud services) and endtoend vehicle application testing is an asset. Experience with vehicle communication network protocols such as CAN and Ethernet is a plus.
