Insight Global is hiring US Tax Consultants to join a 6 month contract role with the potential to convert to a permanent position. In this role, consultants will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and advising on complex US federal and state tax matters, with a strong emphasis on tax advisory and M&A-related activities. This is a hybrid work environment with a minimum of 2/5 in-office days weekly. As a US Tax Consultant, you will provide tax compliance and strategic advisory services to a core client base and collaborate with tax engagement teams on large, complex tax projects. You will perform technical reviews of US corporate and partnership tax returns and related workpapers, while addressing sophisticated tax issues including multi state taxation, nexus determinations, federal and state apportionment, entity structuring, transaction based tax considerations, and mergers and acquisitions. Consultants will work closely with in house tax teams, finance stakeholders, and external advisors to support transaction planning, due diligence, tax structuring, and post acquisition integration. In addition, you will research US federal and state tax law, assess the impact of legislative and regulatory changes, and provide practical, strategic guidance to clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and demonstrated time management.Key Responsibilities Prepare and review US federal and state corporate and partnership income tax returns. Provide US tax advisory support, including structuring, planning, and consulting for M&A and other strategic transactions. Perform tax due diligence, analyze transaction implications, and support deal execution and integration. Analyze complex tax issues such as nexus, entity classification, E&P, basis adjustments. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; building trust and working relationships, as to that lead to tax compliance, planning initiatives, and special projects. Research and interpret US tax legislation, regulations, and guidance to assess compliance and planning opportunities Leverage tax software and technology tools to improve efficiency and accuracy Lead, mentor, and review work performed by junior team members General sense of curiosity and willingness to adapt and learnRequired Skills & Experience 57+ years of progressive experience in US Tax, with a strong focus on tax advisory and M&A tax for Mid-Large cooperations (20-750MM) Proficiency with US tax software and technology tools: ONESOURCE GoSystems Copilot, Ask BlueJ, OpenAI,and similar tools Experience preparing, reviewing, interpreting, and advising on US federal and state corporate and partnership tax returns Proven team player with flexibility, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and engagements Strong analytical and problem solving skills to address complex and ambiguous tax issuesCompensation:$55/hr to $75/hrExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D.
