Summary of the opportunity Client Overview: The Coalition, a flagship firstparty studio within Xbox Game Studios and home to the critically acclaimed Gears of War series. Role Summary: As a Gameplay Animation Outsource Manager, you will help deliver highquality animations by working closely with the Lead Gameplay Animators and external partners. Your role is essential in achieving key milestones and reinforcing the quality bar set by the Animation team. What are the key responsibilities? Act as a bridge between the internal Gameplay Animation team and external partners. Partner with Animation Director and Lead Gameplay Animators to train and reinforce animation creation best practices. Assist in onboarding/offboarding of new external partners. Work with the Production team to address roadblocks with external partners. Review work submitted by external partners and ensure it meets quality standards. Maintain project management tools with uptodate information. Ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and meets quality expectations. Establish and maintain communication with external partners, including availability outside of normal working hours. What experience are we looking for to drive success? MUST-Have Skills and Qualifications 5+ years of experience in gameplay animation. 5+ years of experience working with external teams. Shipped a AAA or equivalent title in an outsource manager role. Willingness to travel domestically or internationally 3-4 times per year. Good visual and technical understanding of gameplay animation creation steps and requirements. Proficiency in Maya and Motion Builder. Experience in key frame and motion capture animation. Solid understanding of body mechanics, timing, spacing, weight, and appeal. Selfmotivated, creative problem solver, team player. Familiarity with managing projects using project management tools. Ability to work well with deadlines and be selfmotivated. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Experience working in Unreal. Knowledge of the Gears of War Franchise.
