$112,479 - $129,350 Pro Rata + Salary Packaging About Us The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region. The Regional and Specialist team includes Integrated Specialist Services, Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, Primary Healthcare Services, Birthing and Early Childhood Services (South), and Child and Youth Services. About the Role As Senior Physiotherapist, your role is to: Ensure IUIH Physiotherapists provide high quality and safe Physiotherapy services aligned with Cultural Integrity Investment Framework, The Ways Statement, clinical guidelines, policies and procedures. Support reflective practice and continuous quality improvement within the Physiotherapy team and promote interprofessional practice. Provide clinical supervision and mentoring and be a resource for the professional development of the IUIH Physiotherapists and students placed within Physiotherapy teams. The Senior Adult Physiotherapist will provide direct culturally responsive physiotherapy services as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Your day to day duties may include: Contribute to the overall quality and safety of service delivery, including follow up on clinical incidents and improvement strategies. Provide clinical services to clients during hours of operation of the service, in keeping with accepted best practice standards. Provide one on one mentoring in development of skills/practices at least monthly, but more frequently, depending on staff experience/need. Assist with the development of new programs within the physiotherapy team. About You Current Criminal History Check. Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD). Current AHPRA. Current Disability Worker Screening Check (Qld Yellow Card). Current First Aid and CPR Certificate. Relevant degree in Physiotherapy. Appropriate level of experience (minimum >5 years' experience). Desirable, but not mandatory: Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities.
