We are seeking an initiative Sales Manager for the Corporate Group/Business Transient Market Total Account Management. The individual will be responsible for the generation of successful achievement and future development of significant sales volume produced at established levels of profitability. Serving as the most visible ambassador of the Hotel, this position requires exceptional organization and dedication to interpersonal communications to fulfill the numerous responsibilities of client relationships, industry involvement, business strategy, financial accountability. Key Responsibilities Create sales strategy for account penetration and document strategy through Strategic Account Plans. Execute Sales Strategy to achieve goals. Manage relationships with multiple contacts in assigned market accounts. Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels. Respond to incoming business opportunities for the hotel that are outside parameters of the Event Booking Centre. Proactively identify all new business to achieve personal and company revenue goals. Work independently or centrally, depending on account, to establish appropriate business transient pricing for assigned accounts. Understand the overall market, competitors strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand, and know how to sell against them. Close the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs. Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts. Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future opportunities. Effectively develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base and sales opportunities. Utilize Marriott and Residence Inn Global Source for resources and information. Effectively manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Focus on group and Food and Beverage catering lead. Create contracts and respond to RFPs as required in a timely manner. Manage Hotel social media with a corporation of Company corporate team and Hotel General Manager. Complete Brand sales and revenue required training in a timely manner. Attend sales strategy meetings to understand strategic direction of business. Customer Service Support Brands Service and Relationship Strategy through Event Satisfaction feedback. Execute and support hotel's Brand Standards and the operational aspects of business booked. Participate in and practice daily service basics of the brand. Execute highly customer service to drive customer satisfaction and Bonvoy loyalty. Serve the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed all. Guest Satisfaction Set a positive example for guest relations. Attend pre- and post-convention meetings to understand group needs, obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction. Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Effectively respond to and manage guest problems and complaints. Observe service behaviours of associates and provide feedback to Hotel GM. Review meeting planner results to understand level of guest satisfaction.
