Job Description

Dumont Technical Institute, a division of the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research, invites applications for the following position: Program Coordinator 2 Saskatoon Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Director, the Program Coordinator 2 is responsible for the implementation, coordination, and administration of DTI training programs, with a focus on preemployment trades, industry certification, and other credential programs. The position involves working with Mtis communities, local industries, postsecondary partners, and stakeholders to ensure that communitybased initiatives meet local and regional needs. The coordinator will liaise with governmental bodies, accrediting institutions, and community organizations; oversee student recruitment; facilitate accreditation; and manage the daytoday operations of trades and skills programs. Responsibilities include program budgeting, staff and contract management, work placement/practicum coordination, comprehensive reporting, and other duties assigned by the Director. Qualifications The candidate will have a Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Commerce, or a related field; minimum of 35 years of experience in program coordination related to trades training; experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations; strong understanding of Mtis culture and identity; project management experience with proven ability to deliver communitybased programming; familiarity with education and employment programs in Saskatchewan; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other project management tools; strong interpersonal and communication skills; budget and financial oversight experience.
