SalaryThe salary range for this position is CAD $60.75 - $87.33 per hour. Job Summary Bring your clinical expertise, dedication, and passion for providing quality and compassionate care to a challenging and rewarding role as an Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the context of teambased and consultative care at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) in New Westminster, B.C. The NP works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a consultative capacity, providing coordinated care to ensure safe, effective, and timely patient management. The NP will work Tuesday to Friday (9.375 hours per day), excluding weekends and statutory holidays. Responsibilities Diagnose and treat undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions within the NPs scope of practice; write orders for treatment and medicines; provide firstline care in emergencies. Monitor ongoing care, order appropriate screening diagnostics; interpret reports and analyze information to monitor progress and plan treatment. Establish priorities for health management and provide followup treatment; communicate with patients, families, and staff about findings, diagnoses, and outcomes. Collaborate and consult with physicians or other providers to assess and diagnose patient status; develop and implement treatment plans; may admit and discharge patients per organizational policies. Prescribe drugs within statutory and regulatory standards and employer policies. Assign, evaluate, and supervise nursing and health personnel; hire staff and evaluate performance. Participate in research to improve patient care and advance nursing, health policy, and population health. Maintain population health focus by implementing screening and health promotion activities for atrisk groups. Participate in interdisciplinary staff and nursing education through case presentations, mentoring, and facilitation of knowledge exchange. Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures related to nursing and interdisciplinary care. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Education and Experience Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.
