Work arrangement: Onsite Compensation At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $106,447 - $141,039. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This position may also be eligible for S&Cs annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and individual performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 10% of annual base earnings. The Manager Quality Control is accountable for leading the day-to-day activities of the Quality Control department in line with S&Cs Quality System. They are also responsible for leading improvement activities in the Quality Management system, finding gaps where they might exist and using effective problemsolving techniques to close them. The Manager QC will also work with other departments to drive Quality in all production areas of the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead all Quality Management System (QMS) activities including, but not limited to, system audits, document control, quality-related training, quality plan development, supplier quality management, and the development of measurement, analysis and improvement methods and tools. Provide subject matter expertise and support for production operations by working closely with the production and product engineering teams on quality related issues and improvements. Partner with internal customers to identify and help solve problems that hinders S&Cs ability to stabilize and then reduce lead time. Provide oversight of the NMR and SCAR process. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice lean vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Develop a robust continuous improvement strategy in partnership with the leadership team and key stakeholders. Implement and support cultural change across organization and drive business improvement. Lead, define, and develop continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance, such as planning and running lean events. Set department objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and review and assess ongoing performance towards goals. Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required. Develop knowledge and capability to manage data in Team Assurance. Drive reduction in COPQ across through the manufacturing process. Manage, lead, and build organizational capability of the QC team. Ensure adequate staffing levels, crossfunctionality, manage time off, recruit, train & develop, manage performance, attendance, and provide daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity. Work as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommend, support, and implement continuous improvement activities, and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery. Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers, other service providers, and the global TQM team. Support, comply, and ensure adherence to S&C policies, procedures, and standards. What we are looking for: 7+ years progressive experience in a quality in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Relevant experience implementing lean manufacturing systems (5s, 6sigma green belt or black belt, Toyota Production System, HOS, etc. Detailed knowledge of Quality Management Systems including ISO9001. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematic diagrams an asset. Able to conduct statistical analysis. Demonstrated ability to facilitate and coach team members in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills. Advanced understanding of manufacturing operations/processes. Certification in RAC, Six Sigma, or ASQ desired. Licensed Professional Engineer is an asset. Physical Effort: Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the daytoday activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 40lbs.
