Intermediate Mechanical DesignerLocation: North Bay, OntarioJob Type: Full-time, On-siteCompensation: $28$34 per hourWork Schedule: MondayThursday 7:00 am 4:30 pm; Friday 7:00 am 11:00 amPosition SummaryThe Intermediate Mechanical Designer is responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs and drawings in support of engineering projects. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver accurate and efficient design solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare 2D and 3D mechanical designs and detailed drawings using CAD softwareDevelop layouts, assemblies, and component drawings for manufacturingRevise and update existing designs based on engineering changesCollaborate with engineers, project managers, and production staffEnsure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and specificationsSupport fabrication and installation by responding to technical questionsQualifications & ExperienceDiploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field37 years of mechanical design experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentProficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)Strong understanding of mechanical components, materials, and fabrication methodsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsExcellent communication and organizational skills
