This is an opportunity to build on your practice under our highly experienced and growing team. Encouraged to bring in an existing book of business.Practice areas of law/ responsibilities for this role:Real Estate litigation (both residential and commercial)Business litigationCorporate litigationBreach of contractLandlord and tenant boardKey Responsibilities:Manage and conduct all aspects of civil litigation files independentlyDraft pleadings, motions, affidavits, and legal correspondenceAttend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and discoveriesDevelop case strategies and provide practical legal advice to clientsNegotiate settlements and represent clients at hearings and trialsMaintain strong client relationships and provide timely communicationCollaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless file managementSkills/Qualifications Required:MUST have 5+ years of working experience as a litigatorPrevious experience of real estate and business litigation an assetStrong research skills and ability to draft efficiently and diligentlyExperience with drafting pleadings and other court documentsAbility to handle litigation files with minimal supervision but will have firms full support in training and guidanceMust possess excellent organizational skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detailAbility to multi-task and meet tight deadlinesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to have strong relationships with clientsAbility to speak in more than one language is a plusAdditional requirements:Called to the Ontario BarLicense in good standing with the LSOExcellent academic credentialsSalary: Commensurate with experienceJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Dental careExtended health careOn-site parking
