This role is heavily involved in presales engineering work, including preparing preliminary geothermal system analyses, developing concept and mechanical room drawings, and clearly communicating technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders. The remaining portion of the role supports engineering coordination and construction execution. Key Responsibilities: Prepare preliminary geothermal and HVAC system analyses to support the sales and proposal process. Develop conceptlevel and mechanical room drawings using AutoCAD to communicate design intent. Participate in proposal and design meetings with prospective clients and internal stakeholders, translating technical analysis into clear, practical recommendations. Maintain and update Excelbased technical models used for system sizing and analysis. Support the construction team by preparing asbuilt drawings, RFIs, and construction documentation. Coordinate with external consultants and designers by attending design meetings and supporting geothermal system integration. Review mechanical, electrical, civil, architectural, and structural drawings to ensure proper system coordination. Conduct site inspections related to mechanical room and HVAC installations. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC system design, ideally in commercial or industrial settings. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Professional experience producing construction and mechanical drawings using AutoCAD. Handson experience or strong familiarity with mechanical room layouts and HVAC equipment. Experience with geothermal HVAC systems is a strong asset. Knowledge of heat pumps and condenser water systems is an asset. Strong ability to communicate technical engineering concepts to nontechnical audiences. Proficient in Excel for technical calculations and analysis.
