About The Role The successful candidate can be based out of either our Calgary or Red Deer office. This role requires regular handson work in both Calgary and Red Deer, supporting clients, projects, and inperson collaboration across Central Alberta. This is a senior, handson technical role for someone who enjoys balancing designlevel thinking with practical execution. Youll be a goto resource for complex technical work, trusted client guidance, and raising the bar on how IT is delivered. What Youll Do Take ownership of complex technical issuesdiagnosing root causes, not just symptoms Design, deploy, and support businesscritical systems across onprem, cloud, and hybrid environments Serve as a technical escalation point for challenging problems and highimpact incidents Partner with Technical Account Managers to proactively identify risks, improvements, and roadmap opportunities Lead and contribute to IT projects, from design through execution and postimplementation review Provide clear, confident recommendations grounded in best practices and realworld experience Document environments, decisions, and changes with a longterm operational mindset While this is not a formal peoplemanagement role, your experience will influence othersthrough collaboration, example, and technical leadership. Technical Experience Were Looking For Microsoft Windowsbased desktops and servers Microsoft Exchange (onpremises) and Microsoft 365 Remote Desktop Services (RDS) Advanced firewall, networking, and security solutions Cloud services and hybrid architectures Mobile device management and endpoint security Youre Especially Comfortable With Windows Server upgrades, lifecycle planning, and modernization P2V and V2V migrations and infrastructure transformations Designing and executing server and workload migrations with minimal business disruption SharePoint migrations, including onpremises to SharePoint Online Building solutions that scale, are supportable, and wont create tomorrows problems You can work independently on technically complex initiatives, but you value collaboration, peer review, and shared standards over lonewolf heroics.
