Calgary-based client is supporting a mid-sized, internationally operating engineering consulting firm in their search for a Fractional CFO . This role will provide strategic financial leadership during a planned growth phase, with a focus on securing capital, managing working capital for larger projects, and leading forecasting and financial planning initiatives. Working alongside an established accounting team, the Fractional CFO will play a key role in scaling operations and supporting expansion. The position is expected to transition into a full-time role, offering a competitive salary and equity-based compensation. The role is primarily in-office, with an initial expectation of approximately three days per week. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To Provide strategic financial leadership aligned with business goals Develop and execute short- and long-term financial strategies Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and multi-year planning Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital structure Secure financing, equity investment, and banking relationships Oversee financial reporting, controls, and compliance Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports Assess and mitigate financial, operational, and project-related risks Partner with executive leadership on strategic decision-making Oversee accounting, tax, payroll, and audit functions Improve financial systems, processes, and scalability Build, mentor, and support the finance and accounting team Your strengths include: CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent professional designation preferred 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including CFO or senior finance roles Demonstrated experience within engineering, professional services, consulting, or project-based organizations Proven success supporting growth-stage or scaling mid-sized companies If you are interested in this role and meet the above criteria, please click the Apply button to send your resume directly to Ben Eckstrand. #J-18808-Ljbffr
