WHAT TO EXPECTAs a Project Manager, you will apply your Project Management experience to lead multi-disciplinary projects across the region. Projects range in size from small to large-scale environmental initiatives. You will mentor, train, and develop cross-departmental teams, support project queries and forecasts, and act as the direct project representative both internally and externally. You will be supported by a dynamic team of technical administrators, business development professionals, an in-house IT department, and many other highly experienced, skilled, and educated professionals.JOB DUTIESYou will carry out your duties in consultation with a Senior Project Manager, RRRM on all matters.Oversee reclamation and remediation projects and large program managementProvide direction and support to Project Coordinators, Environmental Specialists, and Environmental Analysts (employees and contract staff) that have day-to-day control of the work and field programsEnsure all programs meet industry and corporate HSE standards and policiesAdhere to program budgets and schedulesReport project status including:Spend to date versus budgetWeekly team performance reports and metricsForecast work scopes, staffing needs (seasonal and permanent), and progress reportsProject performance and summariesProvide training and mentorship to colleagues including field staff, multi-departmental technical staff, and Project ManagersActively participate in committees and work groups for development and improvement of templates, work processes, and implementation of new technology and enhancementsEncourage an open line of timely communication with your direct managerConsult and engage with members of an expert, multi-disciplinary technical team for project support when necessaryQUALIFICATIONSA minimum of 5 years relevant experience in project management, or environmental consulting, ideally with a mixed combination of these experience(s)Relevant education, which may include a university degree (BSc or MSc) or a College diploma in Engineering, Ecology, Biology, or Environmental ScienceRegistered member in good standing, or eligibility for registration, with a recognized applicable Professional Association, including but not limited to AIA, ASPB, and/or APEGA/APEGSStrong analytical and technical writing skillsProficient with Alberta and Saskatchewan regulations and guidelines related to surface reclamationStrong knowledge of methods for native grassland reclamation on minimum disturbance wellsites in sensitive land use areasProfessional competency or qualifications to meet a minimum of one of the following practice areas or competencies, and working towards a second:Assessment, Remediation and Management of Contaminated LandLand ReclamationLand Conservation and ManagementManagementASSETSLeadership experience managing up to 5 direct reports of varying experience levels (junior to senior)Understanding of Alberta reclamation and restoration guidelines and best practicesCompany InformationSummit, An Earth Services Company has become the industry leader in the environmental services sector with operations in Canada, the United States, and Australia.
