Enterprise Architect ENMAX Corporation The Enterprise Architect provides enterprisewide strategic architectural leadership, aligning technology strategy with business priorities to deliver costefficient, riskmanaged, and futureready outcomes. The role focuses on shaping longterm technology direction, driving enterprisewide adoption of strategic platforms, and ensuring architectural governance across the organization. Responsibilities Drive application and platform rationalization to reduce duplication and unnecessary complexity. Increase enterprise adoption of strategic platforms by defining clear direction, guardrails, and reuse patterns. Promote buyoverbuild, lifecycle discipline, and licensing efficiency to reduce longrun operating cost. Partner with Finance, FinOps, and IT leaders to improve cost transparency, cloud consumption optimization, and vendor spend. Define and evolve architectural direction to enable rapid response to business, regulatory, and market change. Standardize and reuse common enterprise patterns, accelerate delivery, and reduce rework across portfolios. Maintain targetstate views, roadmaps, and balance nearterm needs with longterm maintainability. Shape platformcentric decisions, integration approaches, and reduce customization and fragmentation. Ensure architecture embeds security, resilience, and compliance by design. Influence decisions on continuity, disaster recovery, operational readiness, and resilience. Partner with Cybersecurity, Risk, Legal, and Audit to improve risk visibility and compliance outcomes. Connect technology direction to strategic priorities, shape capabilityaligned investments, and engage early in planning cycles. Ensure roadmaps remain aligned to strategies through governance, monitoring, and traceability. Enable coherence across portfolios to integrate initiatives and avoid isolated solutions. Evaluate emerging technologies, balance innovation with operational realities, and guide disciplined experimentation. Integrate successful innovations into the enterprise ecosystem, maintaining an innovation view aligned to goals. Education Required Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis, or equivalent practical experience. Architecture and governance certifications (e.g., TOGAF, CGEIT, COBIT, ITIL) and cloud architecture certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are considered assets. Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of progressive experience across IT and/or digital domains in complex organizations. 5+ years operating explicitly as an Enterprise Architect, accountable for enterpriselevel technology strategy and direction. Experience across diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments. Exposure to regulated, assetintensive industries (utilities, energy, public sector). Demonstrated ability to influence decisions at the executive level and beyond individual projects. Competencies Connect, collaborate, and listen: engage early, break silos, align teams.
