We are recruiting experienced Welding Inspectors to support field operations for projects in the Fort McMurray, AB area. The ideal candidate will ensure all welding activities meet required codes, standards, and project specifications. This role requires a strong on-site presence, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of team. Responsibilities Perform welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes and project specifications Verify weld quality and ensure compliance with required standards Confirm adherence to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Ensure material traceability is properly maintained Coordinate with construction teams, NDE providers, and client representatives Support turnover activities and complete required documentation Review drawings, complete markups, and track progress using digital tools such as Bluebeam Maintain a strong field presence while supporting safe and efficient execution Uphold company quality standards and safety requirements at all times Requirements CWB Level 1 or Level 2 Welding Inspector certification (required) Valid H2S Alive certification (required) Experience using Bluebeam for drawing review and documentation Experience in oil & gas construction and/or maintenance Turnaround experience is considered an asset Experience working with high-pressure piping systems (CSA Z662, ASME B31.3) Strong understanding of welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, etc.) Experience coordinating and supporting NDE requirements Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and inspection practices Must pass pre-employment test including cannabis Key Highlights We provide our employees with highly competitive wages, group health benefits, a group RRSP matching program, exciting opportunities for career growth, and a positive, diversified working environment.
