Explore this exciting opportunity! As Human Resources Business Partner you will be responsible for all areas of Human Resources including employee relations, workforce planning & recruitment, training and career development, policies and more! As a strategic partner, you will collaborate with the off-site Head Office HR/Management team of this well-established agricultural livestock Client. Working from your home office, you will provide HR leadership and guidance to over 80 managers and employees working at three Southern Sask agricultural locations. Travel on at least a quarterly basis to each location is required. Apply today to learn more! Responsibilities include: Leadership and Employee Relations - Establish and maintain trusted relationships with on-site leaders and employees. Foster strong employee relations to build and maintain a positive, engaged and productive work environment. - Provide HR services, planning, problem-solving and related support to 3 South Saskatchewan business operations with a total staff complement of over 80. - Coach managers on employee relations issues to ensure candid timely feedback, proper documentation and action plans are in place to resolve matters. Escalate employee issues to the Senior off-site HR Leader as needed. - Conduct on-site visits, meet with employees, conduct or assist with new employee orientation and training, and be within the agricultural operations near livestock. Become knowledgeable and abide by all biosecurity protocols. - Partner with leaders/managers/supervisors to drive positive employee engagement through supporting action planning, communication, and talent development. - Assist with special HR projects as needed. - Travel to each site at least once per quarter (more initially for the first six months to learn about processes, policies and build relationships). Recruitment - Manage workforce planning to align business staffing initiatives with corporate goals, and implement innovative recruitment strategies and plans to recruit a diverse workforce. - Conduct candidate sourcing by directly hosting and attending career fairs, sourcing via social media and other internal and external tools. Review resumes, applications and profiles against job requirements, conduct phone screens and create a shortlist for interview/review by a hiring leader. - Conduct and facilitate pre and post interview meetings with the hiring team, guiding them to select right-fit candidates. - Provide a positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the selection process. Policies and procedures - Provide HR support on core human resource processes including policy and process development and administration, employee relations, talent development, strategy execution and performance management. - Collaborate with the off-site Senior Head Office HR Specialists in the areas of rewards, benefits talent acquisition, learning & developments, health & safety. Learning and Development - Collaborate and facilitate internal learning and development offerings in Spanish and English. Identify and assess the training needs for the business unit and employees through job analysis, career paths, and consultation with managers. - Assist in the development of individualized training plans or programs for employee/ss with managers as well as broader training programs that address specific business needs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met and embedded in the business. Health & Safety - Support the Health & Safety Program, working closely with the Health and Safety team to drive Health & Safety improvements for all employees. - Administration, Planning and Reporting - Maintain timely and accurate data in HRIS and provide routine analytics through PowerBI Reporting. - Collaborate and attend virtual meetings with off-site HR Managers and Leaders. Act as liaison between HR Shared Services and Specialists to answer employee questions and escalate to the appropriate specialist as needed. Serve as a strong role model, leader and communicator of the organization, displaying competency, integrity and professionalism at all times. Maintain a high level of confidentiality, and work with all employees in a professional and respectful manner. A valid passport is required to attend U.S. meetings. As the selected candidate you will bring: Education: - Bachelors Degree in HR Management, B. Admin, Psychology, or related field - Bilingual is a definite asset, in French and/or Spanish proficiency. Experience - Minimum 3-5 years experience to include talent acquisition / recruiting for high volume positions. - Working knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, communications, etc. A background or experience in the agriculture industry is an asset. Demonstrated influencing, negotiation, problem solving and consensus building skills. - Objective perspective; able to build strong working relationships and work with diverse personalities and viewpoints. - Takes ownership and accountability; comfortable working independently, mostly from their home location. - Collaborative and able to work comfortably with all members of the team at the 3 locations and head office. Brings a natural curiosity and willingness to learn and provide HR support. - Bilingual English/Spanish is an asset, along with a willingness to learn Spanish to communicate well with the Hispanic work employees. - Must be open to travel to each site in southern Saskatchewan at least once per quarter. Travel is required more often initially to build trust and credibility with the employees, and become acquainted with the work environment, processes and organization.
