The Organization Since 1981, Ronald McDonald House Toronto has served as a place to call home for families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment. Ronald McDonald House Toronto encompasses a House for 81 families in downtown Toronto and seven Family Rooms in hospitals across the Greater Toronto Area and in Sudbury. The families we serve come from throughout Ontario, across Canada and around the world. As demand for services continues to grow, Ronald McDonald House Toronto is investing in the systems, leadership, and infrastructure required to scale its impact and ensure longterm sustainability. The Role Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the CFO is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and overseeing enterprise risk, governance, and technology functions across the organization. The CFO will: Shape and execute multiyear financial strategies that support our mission and growth Lead enterprise risk management, capital planning, and financial governance Oversee Information Technology, cybersecurity, and privacy as core enablers of organizational resilience Partner with the CEO, Board, and leadership team to drive datainformed decisionmaking This role is central to building the structures, systems, and insights required for a modern, highperforming organization. Key Responsibilities Include Strategic Financial Leadership Develop and lead longterm financial strategies aligned with the organizations strategic priorities Provide forwardlooking financial insights, scenario planning, and performance analytics Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board on financial sustainability and growth Support the work of Board committees, including Finance, Audit & Risk, and Investment Establish and oversee enterprise risk management frameworks Provide strategic reporting and insights to support Boardlevel decisionmaking Technology, Cybersecurity & Privacy Leadership Provide executive oversight of IT strategy, cybersecurity, and data governance Ensure strong privacy frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation practices Lead investments in technology and systems that enable operational efficiency and datadriven decisionmaking Strengthen business continuity, vendor risk management, and security practices Capital, Liquidity & Financial Stewardship Guide capital planning, reserves strategy, and investment frameworks Monitor financial performance, liquidity, and funding sustainability Ensure strong financial controls, reporting integrity, and audit readiness Organizational Leadership & Partnership Lead and develop Finance and IT teams, fostering a highperforming and collaborative culture Partner closely with Development to support revenue forecasting and funding strategy Collaborate across Programs and Operations to align financial planning with service delivery The Successful Candidate The ideal candidate is a strategic and forwardthinking financial leader who brings both technical expertise and a strong commitment to missiondriven work, ideally in a notforprofit environment. Experience & Qualifications CPA designation with senior finance leadership experience (10+ years as VP or CFO or equivalent) Proven experience in financial strategy, capital planning, and governance Experience working with Boards and Board committees Experience overseeing IT, cybersecurity, and/or privacy frameworks Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or similarly complex environments is an asset The successful candidate will need to undergo a successful reference check, a satisfactory background/police check, and immunization process as per the House & Hospital Partners policies.
