Job Description

Drive safe, accurate therapeutic radiation delivery as a skilled Medical Physicist. Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, focusing on compliance, treatment planning, and quality assurance, potentially with partial remote options. This role encompasses conducting essential medical physics tasks while ensuring adherence to state and federal guidelines in radiation therapy. You will develop, implement, and maintain policies governing therapeutic equipment, ensuring it operates safely and effectively. Additionally, participate in the strategic planning of the radiation oncology department and collaborate on treatment strategies with physicians. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations Conduct quality assurance for radiation therapy equipment Assist in treatment planning for external beam and brachytherapy Document and maintain inventory of radioactive materials Act as Department Radiation Safety Officer Requirements: Masters Degree in Physics or related field ABR certification in Therapeutic Radiology Physics Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Illinois Strong communication skills required Relevant experience in medical physics Enhance patient outcomes through effective radiation therapy strategies and seamless collaboration within oncology teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
