Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Pressure Equipment Integrity Technologist to join their team on a 1-year contract in Grande Prairie, AB.Key AccountabilitiesStrong working knowledge of upstream pipeline integrity managementApply risk assessment methodologies to ensure company's assets remain at a tolerable level regarding safety, environmental impact, compliance, reliability, and economic lossWork with Asset Integrity team members, Operations, Production, Engineering, and Management to deliver effective Asset Integrity Management programs addressing all integrity threats, including but not limited to:Corrosion control programsInspection programsMonitoring programsMetallurgical upgradesDesign/process changesDetection and measurement systemsProactively analyze inspection results, failure investigations, risk assessments, and process conditions to ensure key degradation mechanisms are understood and appropriate mitigation/monitoring techniques are in placeOversee corrosion monitoring and chemical inhibition programsCoordinate cathodic protection of pipelines and associated facilitiesDevelop and maintain inspection schedules to support annual budgetingReconcile and update the companys equipment inventory databasesCoordinate maintenance activitiesincluding repair proceduresto minimize downtimeWork with vendors to ensure accurate and timely reportingLiaise with regulatorsOther DetailsJob location: Grande Prairie, Spirit River, or Fairview areasThis is a safety-sensitive positionSkills & QualificationsUp to 15 years of related oil and gas industry experienceA relevant technical degree or diploma; professional or certified designation is an assetPipeline experience and NACE/AMPP Corrosion courses are considered assetsWorking knowledge of pipeline codes & standards (CSA Z662), and applicable provincial & federal directives/regulationsExperience with pipeline maintenance work coordinationAPI Certifications considered an assetProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and integrity management software (Accumap, Maxi-Trak, Abacus, Maximo)Strong analytical skills and ability to work independentlyValid Class 5 drivers license and excellent safety attitude
