Our project portfolio consists of multiple institutional and commercial building types that are designed with a contemporary approach and technical accuracy. We are looking for someone to join our team in a full-time role and be part of our dynamic, welcoming, and fast paced work environment. Salter Pilon Architecture has a position available for a highly motivated, outgoing, and proactive Office Controller. Candidates should exhibit exemplary communication and organizational skills, with the ability to take initiative, prioritize daily tasks and have a strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines.Interior DesignerResponsibilities Work closely with lead architects and senior designers to produce Schematic Design, Design Development, and Contract Documents Communicate with project consultants and engineers to progress design changes and coordination Collaborate with owner stakeholder teams to support design objectives and develop design proposals Produce material boards, design concepts, and room finish schedules Coordinate design activities and participate in meetings with consultants and engineers as required Complete working drawings with full consultant coordination for tendering Coordinate with lead designer to meet project deadlines, achieve goals, and review drawings and specifications for deficiencies Support contract administrators during the construction phase, including shop drawing reviews, site instructions, and related tasks Work with suppliers and vendors to maintain current product knowledge and relationships Maintain sample library, ensure organization, and source new samples as needed Manage multiple projects across various project types Oversee client budgets and project costs Produce 3D photo-realistic renderingsSkills & Experience Experience with institutional building design in Ontario; exposure to educational, healthcare, recreation centres, multi-use residential, and first responder facilities is an asset Proficiency in the latest versions of Revit and BIM 360 Strong understanding of AODA requirements Solid knowledge of building systems, construction procedures, OBC, and relevant city by-laws/regulations Understanding of contract administration processes (both office and on-site) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to evaluate building materials and design features Technical knowledge of Part 3 construction Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings/specifications Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to present ideas clearly through both visuals and verbal communication Strong relationship-building skills with clients, consultants, and suppliers Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance team environment Creative thinking with the ability to develop new ideas and solutions Strong prioritization skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision Problem-solving mindset; reliable, optimistic, and approachable Strong understanding of project scheduling and delivering against key milestonesQualifications Bachelors degree in Interior Design or a 3-year college diploma in Interior Design 7+ years of relevant experience in an architectural or design firm Registered member of ARIDO Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Experience with rendering programs is an asset Valid Class G drivers licence with access to a personal vehicle
