Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Agriculture Extension Officer, based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. In this role, the officer will work with farmers and agricultural stakeholders to provide advice, training, and support on best practices, including soil management, crop production, and livestock care. Key responsibilities involve conducting educational outreach, developing customized agricultural programs, and implementing sustainable practices. The role will also include monitoring agricultural activities, ensuring compliance with local guidelines, and fostering knowledge-sharing initiatives to drive growth in the community. Qualifications Knowledge of Soil Science and Agriculture practicesExperience in Livestock managementSkills in Curriculum Development and EducationStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholdersAbility to analyze agricultural data and provide actionable insightsA degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferredExperience in agricultural extension or outreach is an asset
